Banned Books Week Is Back!

Okay, everyone!  Here is one cause that I am really, REALLY adamant about.  It's Banned Books week (started yesterday) and runs all the way though October 1st.  What does this mean?  Well, it means that you should pick up a banned book and read it with pride!

Also, make other people aware of this.  Banning books still happens; there was an instance in Missouri back in August where two books were removed from High School curriculum.  Click on the link to take a look at the story.

Banning books is ridiculous; everyone should have the option to read what they want to read and make their own opinions.  NO ONE should have the power to take that away from ANYONE; so spread the word.  Read a banned book (I've included a link to the list of banned books in this post), read a banned book to your kids (Harry Potter, The Golden Compass, etc.), or just link this on your Facebook/Twitter page to make people aware that this week exists.

Here are some helpful links that will give you more information.  Please pass this on and make more people aware of this issue!
